If you’re happy, you mind tends to be more positive and if you’re positive, you mostly choose to be always happy.
But how do you maintain this state of mind?
How do you fill your mind with positivity and happiness?
Now, let’s get to the tips.
Believe it all not, success, positivity, happiness, and just about every other good thing all starts with a proper sleep.
If you sleep late and wake up early, you body won’t be so much energized, you might start to feel down and eventually feel less happy about the day.
When you get enough sleep through the night, you get a higher tendency of waking up the next day feeling very energized.
This energy in you gives you the feeling of being positive that you can do just about anything.
The trick is simple.
Getting enough sleeps helps you stay less sensitive to negative emotions and this is made true in a study explored by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman where sleep-deprived candidates failed to remember most of their pleasant memories but could immediately recall their sad and gloomy memories.
This means that how well and how long you sleep affects how you feel and how your whole day would turn out. Therefore, get a good long hour of sleep daily for a positive and happy feeling.

Exercise has such a very significant impact on your overall level of happiness and emotional well-being.
The way exercise works is that it helps you combat against depression.
But this doesn’t mean you have to be depressed to gain the benefits of exercising daily.
A study that was mentioned in a book called The Happiness Advantage tested the effect of medication, exercise, and the combination of the two on three groups of people.
During the study, the three groups experienced similar improvements in happiness at the early stage but overtime, those on medication and the combination of both went back to their depression but those on exercise almost never went back depressed.
By exercising even as low as 7 minutes daily, you get to relax, improve your brain power, feel lighter and active, become energized and positivized, and even lose weight.
The people you surround yourself with is significant to the way you feel about yourself and about life.

Spending more time with friends and family allows you to connect with people, help them out, and just feel appreciative of what you have.
In the words of Harvard happiness expert, Daniel Gilbert, “We are happy when we have family, we are happy when we have friends, and almost all the other things we think satisfy us are in reality only methods of getting all the more loved ones.”

Taking on the habit of smiling in even in very troubling situations can make us feel better.
Smiling has a lot of potential benefits and these benefits get improved even more when we back our smiles with positive thoughts.

According to the study led by a Michigan state university business scholar, workers who faked their smile thought the day only worsened their mood and ended up withdrawing from work. However, worker who smiled as a result of cultivating positive thoughts were able to improve their overall mood.
Other benefits of smiling include reduced blood pressure, reduced pain, younger look, improved immunity, reduced stress, and much more.
