Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie Weight Lose Drinks

Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie | Weight Lose Drinks

While smoothies are a delicious indulgence all year round, summertime is when my breakfast sips perfectly coincide with cooling off the sun. This Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie = summertime in a glass!

Completely devoid of banana or yogurt, this rum-based cocktail has all the tropical vibes to take you on vacation and is accompanied by a light buzz instead of something as heavy.

In addition to being versatile, it also makes customization easy — I will provide several examples later in this post.

This recipe is all about the bright mix of strawberries and pineapple.

Then, you basically have 2 fun roads to take— either give it an orange juice kick for an extra citrusy pop (just like in my 3-Ingredient Strawberry Banana Smoothie) or go for a creamy piña colada feel by adding in coconut milk.

Strawberry and Pineapple Smoothie Ingredient

Refer to the recipe card below for specific ingredient quantities and instructions.

Frozen Strawberries: Use either freshly frozen strawberries or pre-packaged frozen ones.

Pineapple: Freezing pineapple yields a thicker smoothie, while using fresh pineapple results in a thinner, frothier texture.

Coconut Milk or Orange Juice: Opt for your preferred non-dairy milk, or explore alternative options.

Unsweetened Shredded Coconut Flakes & Pineapple Chunks (optional as a garnish for crunch and fun!)

Can vs Carton: How to Tell the Difference between Coconut Milk in a Can and Coconut Milk in a Carton

Both are great for this strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe. Coconut Milk in a can, on the other hand, is thicker and creamier than the latter as it has more accuracy.

Additionally, it offers a more pronounced coconut flavor, enriching the overall taste experience.

How to Prepare a Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Making this smoothie was such a breeze! Follow these simple steps:

Pulse ingredients together: In a blender place the strawberries, pineapple, as well as the liquid of your choice.

Blend – turn on the blender and mix until smooth

Remove the smoothie into cups and top them with Coconut Flakes and Pineapple Chunks (if you like).

Smoothie Making Tips:

Below are some of my best suggestions for how to make the best strawberry pineapple smoothie.

Liquid First: Using liquid as your base helps to create a vortex in your blender; this helps to keep the rest of the solid components moving towards the blade, and not create air pockets.

Mornings can be hectic, to say the least; if you are not a fan of making anything first thing, prep by dividing pineapple and strawberries into mason jars or plastic bags, then freeze. Just pour the liquid in and blend in the morning.

Sweetness: You might also want to add a little sweetener to taste depending on your choice of liquid (and the natural tartness of the berries or pineapple).

Variations:

There are several ways you can modify this strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe to your taste.

Vanilla Infusion: Choose vanilla-flavored plant milk instead of Coconut Milk or Orange Juice for a light touch of vanilla.

Include Superfoods: Bring nutrition a notch up by including a tsp of chia seeds ground flax or even hemp hearts to the smoothie mix – these all are good and beneficial.

Increase Protein: Pump up the protein by adding a scoop of vegan Greek yogurt, your favorite plant-based protein powder, or even silken tofu.

Add in Greens: Up your daily nutrient intake by throwing in a handful of spinach or try kale which is what you see on my kale smoothie with strawberries.

Elevate it Even More to Dessert Status: Inspired by my strawberry milk, make your own strawberry syrup and swirl it on the bottom of the smoothie before drinking, perfect for dessert.

Storage Guidelines:

Strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for a day but it’s best when served immediately. That way, the smoothie can smoothie-er, but without being as smoothie-tastier as a traditional smoothie-tasting smoothie.

Can You Freeze Strawberry Pineapple Smoothies?

Transfer the cakes into an airtight jar, or other airtight storage container, fitting as many as you can without crowding or squishing, and freeze for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.

To turn your breakfast drink treat into a summer dessert, freeze any remaining smoothie in popsicle molds.

What Sets This Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie Recipe Apart

What Makes This Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie Recipe Stand Out:

Cooling: Enjoy the juicy strawberry pineapple smoothie in between other thirst-quenching liquids for when you need something cool to sip.

Simple: I used no less than three ingredients and absolutely minimal prep time was required. (No one that I know of…who has 20 minutes to spare in the morning to cut and wash fruit?)

Yum: Pineapple and strawberries are the perfect pair, sweet and tart that merge deliciously well together.

Are Strawberries and Pineapple Good Together?

Absolutely! They both have such flexible, complicit flavors, making them ideal to use with a slew of other ingredients, and it just seemed that a strawberry pineapple smoothie would be too good to pass up. The acidity of the pineapple increases the taste of the strawberries, giving a fresh blend.
