Two Delicious Variations

You can enjoy this smoothie bowl two ways: as a classic Strawberry Peach Smoothie Bowl or a Strawberry Mango Peach Smoothie Bowl, like the one I made in the video below. Both versions are super tasty and made without banana!

While I love all kinds of fruit, I often get requests for smoothie bowl recipes that don’t include bananas. So, here’s another thick, delicious, and banana-free option for you to enjoy.

Of course, if you’re a banana fan, feel free to toss one into your blender or use it to replace one of the other fruits.

Let’s dive into this sweet treat, perfect for strawberry season and the start of summer here in New York!

Tips for the Best Strawberry Peach Smoothie Bowl

  • Use Only Frozen Fruit: Frozen fruit is key to achieving that perfectly thick smoothie bowl texture.
  • Use Just a Little Liquid: Don’t overdo it with the liquid, or your smoothie bowl might turn watery.
  • Blend Until Creamy: Keep blending until no chunks of frozen fruit remain. You may need to blend longer if your blender isn’t super powerful.
  • Eat Immediately: Smoothie bowls are best enjoyed fresh! The longer they sit, the more the frozen fruit will thaw and melt.

How to Make My Thick Strawberry Peach Smoothie Bowl

I’m keeping this post short because I’m in the midst of tending to my summer garden! This smoothie bowl is super easy to make and perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth—and it’s totally healthy!

Step 1: Add Frozen Fruit to Your Blender

Start by adding the frozen strawberries and frozen peaches to your blender. I used 2 cups of strawberries and 2 cups of peaches, but you can adjust based on how much fruit you want.

For the strawberry mango peach version, add your frozen mango now. I used 2 cups of strawberries, 1 cup of peaches, and ½ cup of mango. Again, adjust to your preference!

Next, add ¼-¾ cup of coconut milk or your milk of choice.

Step 2: Blend and Push Down the Frozen Fruit

Begin blending on low speed, using your blender’s tamper to push the frozen fruit down toward the blades until smooth and creamy. Increase the speed as you go.

If your blender doesn’t have a tamper, no worries! Just turn off your blender a couple of times and scrape down the frozen fruit chunks.

Step 3: Scoop and Top!

Scoop your creamy strawberry peach or strawberry mango peach smoothie bowl into a bowl. Smooth out the top and add your favorite toppings.

FAQs

Are smoothie bowls actually healthy?

Yes! As a registered dietitian, I can confidently say that smoothie bowls are a healthy choice. Even when made with just fruit, they’re packed with nutrients and fiber, making them great for weight loss and gut health!

What’s the best blender for making thick smoothie bowls?

My first blender was a big Ninja, which served me well for about seven years. Many of my older smoothie bowl pictures were made with that one. Even the small Foodi blender can handle frozen fruit without burning out!

Recently, I invested in a Vitamix Blender because I love the look of the blender swirl in videos. Both are excellent options and will give you super thick and creamy bowls!
