Benefits of Dates into Smoothies
Dates are a nutritious fruit containing natural sugars and dietary fiber.
That being said, since it is a special combination of ingredients, our bodies digest the nutrients in Flow slowly which will give you sustained natural energy to keep you feeling awesome throughout your day!
Not like the sugary options that eat up right away and crash; this date smoothie provides slow but lasting energy.
Dates are packed with potassium and great to sweeten up a smoothie. It helps in muscle recovery and contributes to critical nourishments that are indispensable for any workout.
Bananas are rich in potassium- Well, guess what Dates contain 50% more weight of ‘potassium’ than bananas! — Great pre and post-workout snacks due to their high levels of natural electrolytes.

Cinnamon Date Smoothie Ingredients
- Medjool dates:
We use Natural Delights pitted Medjool Dates from the earthy soil of Bard Valley, in the shade of madaran date trees tended with care by the Colorado River.
Dates are the perfect way to sweeten naturally, and also load in a good source of carbohydrates (they add sweetness AND ENERGY!).
Dates are a good source of 16 essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that have been proven to help fight off disease.
- Rolled oats:
By adding fiber and whole grains, that date smoothie (thanks to rolled oats) is very filling! So, if you prefer a silky porridge-like texture and also think of the idea of biting into dry oats, then I recommend soaking the oats to eliminate any grittiness.
- Ground cinnamon and vanilla extract:
The warm spices add so much depth and richness to this smoothie it livens up your bowl with all the flavors of a cinnamon roll without any artificial ingredients.
- Non-dairy milk:
My favorite option for an oats is to use oat milk or almond milk. Note: Make sure to review the labels and avoid added sugars, or other hidden ingredients.
Moreover, there are many brands that offer higher protein varieties as a functional alternative.
If you are not a fan of bananas in smoothies, replace the banana with 3 dates instead.
This alteration retains the natural sweetness without adding banana flavor, and tastes rather like caramel.
Or, mix it up and use both banana and date for an amazing flavor combo!

- Add dates, non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to a blender Then add in the remaining ingredients, and process until a smooth mixture is formed (ensuring either it has been pitted previously in dates or at this point now when they are removed).
- Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. If you want your smoothie more chilled, pour it over 1 cup of ice in a glass. Or, on a chilly day, you can have it warm for something comforting.
